2016 Fifth Mission Trip
FIFTH MISSION TRIP – SPRING 2016
GOAL ONE: Build a four unit apartment complex. Use rent to pay for the operation and maintenance of the school. —–ACHIEVED! See gallery below for pictures and descriptions.
GOAL TWO: Continue the tradition of planning, funding snd conducting a vacation bible school at Naomi’s Village. —-ACHIEVED! See gallery below for pictures and descriptions.
GOAL THREE: Write, submit, and achieve acceptance of a grant to further the economic well being of the Kijabe School though improving the economic and physical well being of the students. –— ACHIEVED HALF OF THE GOAL. JCAP RECEIVED A TEN THOUSAND GRANT FROM SAMARITAN’S PURSE TO SUPPLEMENT THE FEEDING PROGRAM WHICH HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED SUCCESSFULLY. JCAP IS IN THE PROCESS OF STARTING A FARMING PROJECT WITH TEN OF THE FAMILIES OF STUDENTS DESIGNED TO EXPAND TO OTHERS AND BE SUSTAINABLE WITHIN ONE YEAR.
GOAL FOUR: To enhance an already successful school computer program through the addition of needed hardware such as printers, modems, routers, and electronic teaching aids. This program is also extending into community involvement through evening and weekend computer classes. —-ACHIEVED! JCAP ADDED MORE COMPUTERS TO THE PROGRAM AND IMPROVED THE POWER SUPPLY.
UNEXPECTED BLESSINGS:
INDIVIDUAL TEAM MEMBERS WORKED WITH LOCAL PEOPLE TO INSURE SUCCESS OF PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED BY THEM TO IMPROVED GROWTH AND SUCCESS OF YOUTH. See gallery below for pictures and descriptions.
