JCAP stands for “Jim Calfee Africa Project,” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in Kijabe, Kenya and surrounding areas, through education, community development, and volunteer efforts. Please refer to Who We Are.

Our mission is to empower Kijabe’s children and families through sustainable education, infrastructure improvements, and programs that promote health and opportunity.

Volunteering

You can join one of our mission trips or support from home by assisting with fundraising, event planning, or spreading awareness. Visit our Join Us page for details.

No! While skills in construction, teaching, or healthcare are helpful, a willingness to help and learn is all you need to join our mission trips.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a parent/guardian if younger.

Volunteers cover their travel, accommodation, and meal expenses. However, JCAP assists with planning and offers fundraising ideas to offset costs.

Mission trips include hands-on work, such as rebuilding schools, leading feeding programs, and engaging with the community. You’ll also experience cultural immersion and lasting connections.

Donations
