MAIN PROJECTS
1. Built four apartments to finance maasai school
2. Repaired the original kijabe preschool roof to match the two new roofs and then createD a rain water conservation system and equipeD all rooms with electricity.
3. ConductED vbs AND MANY OTHER activities at the Kijabe school, the leap school, AND AT NAOMI'S VILLAGE. THE JCAP TEAM STAYED AT NAOMI'S VILLAGE.
Pictured above are classroom sceens at the Maasai School. The school meets in an old church building with dirt floors and shares one teacher. (Note: there are two groups of students and one teacher) The rent from the apartments should help the school improve their physical environment and upgrade their education.The goat herd was started with one or two goats to help with the feeding program. The herd has grown to over one hundred goats and is a source of income for the school.

Pictured top right above is the old roof sandwiched between two new roofs created when the new classrooms were added. Once the old roof was repaired the rainwater conservation project was built and implemented.

in 2023 WE CONSTRUCTED A FIFTH CLASSROOM BY CONVERTING A CHICKEN COOP. THIS YEAR WE ARE BUILDING FOUR APARTMENTS TO HELP FINANCE EDUCATION IN THE MAASai community.

Proposed Activities
Naomi’s village
- Lodging – room and board and transportation
- Thursday – arrive and unpack and organize – evening devotions – 4 groups
- Friday unpack and Jason and team build corn hole boxes to be used on Saturday activity tie with teenagers. Kay and Barb get it all together and planned for week.
-Teenage devotions with all of us involved.
- Saturday-January 27
VBS for entire Village on Saturday January 27 – full day
- Singing
- Elijah and the prophets of Baal full costume
- Message and Memory verse – Basically Trust and obey – that will be the message during the entire skit.

- Noah’s ark only after kids do their usual Sunday songs etc
- PM – meet with sponsored kids and enjoy Naomi’s village- visit baby room
- Maybe some will visit Maasi Village to look over project
- Monday– Entire team to Maasi Village to work on building project. Sammy and James (Kenyan) will be construction managers and our Jason will be the team leader on this projectMonday night – Devotions in 4 dorms 7:00 and 8:00– go two by two
Tuesday –(half of team to Kijabe and half to Maasi Village project) VBS 5 times with 5 classes of preschoolers – Noah’s Ark – all in costume and involved in skit and lesson. Very simple craft for 100 kids. Alex will translate and teach lesson. —
– Visit farms and families in the afternoon. Also check the electrical and roof projects we have sponsored.
– Sammy , James and Jason will be in charge of the building project in Maasi Village
-Evening is Devotions again – 4 dorms
Wednesday – Cornerstone Academy – tours with new team members. 3 sessions of chapel using of VBS and lots of singing.

Thursday – other half of team will teach VBS with 100 Leap preschoolers.
Rest will go to Massi Village to work

Friday will be Safari so Tina can still be here. Devotions as usual in the evening
Saturday – Community projects with NV. Deliver and assemble bunk beds and mattresses and food to selected families – possibly some that we are sponsoring if that is the need. Possibly something else- to be determined.
Sunday February 4 – Church in Kijabe maybe – Pastor Alex’s church? AIC Church? Meet with all of Kijabe staff. Everyone really wants to see us on this day – tradition in community
Monday – Maasi building project – everyone?
Tuesday – Morning in Kijabe? =- what needs to be addressed. – make sure we are packed and ready to go by 3:00 p
