About
The Jim Calfee Africa Project, headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, is dedicated to working with the citizens of Kijabe, Kenya, and surrounding areas, towards promoting and sustaining the welfare and education of the children so that they will possess the tools to lead their communities forward in a growth producing manner. This Christian social and philanthropic corporation initially intends to organize, promote and conduct programs that improve, clean, and beautify the physical environment of the existing learning institutions and to help in the sustaining of the educational programs as needed. It is also the intention of the corporation to educate the public concerning said programs and the need thereof; including the use of all forms of media, radio programs, audio tapes, written materials, rallies, websites, public speaking engagements, and other similar methods.
The Jim Calfee Africa Project is named for a man who deemed himself fortunate to have been cared for in a loving orphanage and had dedicated his life to helping other children, especially in Africa, experience the blessing of being loved and cared for. It is the goal of JCAP to continue his dream through serving the orphans and less fortunate children in Africa through support and education.
